For 15 years David was the Chief Executive of the Association of Charitable Foundations, the professional membership body for the UK’s charitable trusts and foundations. Before that he led the membership association for the UK’s regional theatres and performing arts companies, and previously his experience was in the voluntary sector, working especially with rural communities and the voluntary organisations supporting them.
Currently he is also chair of the Carnegie UK Trust, having previously chaired the Longleigh Foundation and the national rural charity, ACRE.
